Welcome to Joel Kelso Racing!

By the age of 4, Joel was riding motorbikes on his backyard tracks; his natural ability and interest soon leading to his first appearances on local racetracks. Joel's talent and competitive spirit have seen him on the top of podiums and points tables as his career has progressed, entering club, state, and national flat track and long track series and events. In Joel's first year of competition, he won the Australian long track and dirt track titles in the 50cc class, as well as QLD and NSW championships.

His initial season also featured wins in the Casey Stoner Cup and the Makay King of the Beach cup on his 50cc. This sucess was repeated when Joel finished on the top of the podium in the 65cc, 85cc, 2 and 4 stroke classes in successive seasons, culminating in 2012 which saw him four time national title holder, state titles, as well as wins in feature meetings where again he took out the Casey Stoner Cup on his 65 and 85 cc Huskys.

This current season, 2013, Joel has been able to further explore his love for motorcycles and go road racing. On his Metrakit 70cc machine Joel is competing in the MRRDA and Pirelli series and is not wasting time in his debut year, with wins in all meetings so far. Joel is points leader in both series as well as setting new lap records at Mac Park, SA. Winton raceway, Vic., and the Philip Island circuit.  His fierce on track attitude, smooth style and entertaining dices with larger capacity bikes have won him many fans, and his bright outgoing personality has made him a popular figure in the pits.

Joel's dream of competing on the world stage, and becoming a world champion is moving closer to reality and he would like to thank all who have helped make it possible. His parents and family foremost. Also many thanks to Paul Feeney, Husqvarna Racing Team, Shark Leathers, Reevu Helmets, and Tony and Phil Corbet, for keeping the dream alive. Thanks also to the MRRDA for their assistance, mentoring, and a great series. To all the clubs, officials, sponsors, and fans, thanks for the ride!
